Wearing my easy go-to summer dress I picked up a year ago for 15 bucks at Wet Seal. I decided to nix the floppy hat at the last minute, so you can just imagine it on my head.

I was wondering what Bryan meant by "the diaper lady."

Trick of the camera! This guy is really not on fire. I fooled ya, didn't I?

Duh. Of course, we were hungry afterwards.

Well, I didn't get to go to Coachella this year, but Houston did have its own take on the outdoor music festival with its 2nd Annual Houston Press Summer Fest. It was 2 days of heat, rain, and eventually lots of mud. It poured the 2nd day, and people made good use of the sloppy, slippery mud by creating mud slides down the hill. Thankfully, I didn't arrive until after the rain, but poor Bryan had slipped twice and was covered in brown goo by the time I showed up.

This was my first time to see The Flaming Lips live, and they really know how to put on a fun and visually stimulating show. The lead singer came out in a big clear bubble and rolled around over the crowd, and then sang the first song while sitting on top of a guy dressed in a bear costume. Definitely a show made in acid trip heaven. I was also pretty excited when they played "She Don't Use Jelly" which brought me back to the nostalgic early '90s.

In other news, just received some amazing Jeffrey Campbell wedges in the mail that I can't wait to show soon!
