I never take fashion too seriously so when I saw this large retro beanie, I knew it had my name written all over it. It's big, it's floppy, and yes, it even has a pom pom.  I'm somewhat of a hoarder of hats, but I'm pretty sure this one will get as much wear as I can squeeze out of it while the weather is nice.  And by nice, I mean below 80 degrees.

You can find more beanies by Superdry and other "lifestyle" gear hereSurfdome has a ridiculous amount of brands (over 900!) for all your snow/skate/surf needs.  They're having a huge sale right now, which is making it even more tempting to stock up on some new ski pants and fleece jackets.  Or if you just want to find yourself a fun addition to your everyday wardrobe, they have those too.

Wards in Color Bike Tour

In April, my friend, Troy, will be starting an art-focused bike tour showcasing the Houston wards in all their glory.  The weather was just too beautiful not to do something outdoorsy, so Bryan and I decided to give it a test run.  This is how our day went:

Tour De Hood is not Troy's bike tour but we thought the background was rather fitting

I was famished at the end of the tour.  Thankfully, there was Bohemeo's to save the day!

I had so much fun on the bike tour. I seriously can't wait to do it again! Troy will also be operating van tours of the city. If you're interested in getting in on the action, you can find his upcoming events here.

New Glasses and Not Wearing My Heart on My Sleeve

photo heart3_zps60ddf1d6.jpg photo heart4_zps7aa1eb0a.jpg photo heart2_zps9726b211.jpg photo heart7_zpsae582f24.jpg photo heart5_zpsc472e47f.jpg photo heart6_zpse9321915.jpg // Comme des Garcons Play sweater / Zara plaid top and bag / Seven for All Mankind jeans / Elizabeth & James boots / Firmoo glasses //

Since I don't wear glasses on a daily basis, the last thing I want to do is spend an arm and a leg on a pair that fits my occasional uses. So when I was contacted by Firmoo last year for a free pair of glasses, I was open to trying out a more affordable option. Since then, I've purchased a couple more pairs from them including one for Bryan, who now favors his Firmoo pair over his expensive ones. Firmoo was nice enough to send me another pair and from all four glasses I've received so far, the quality has been comparable to the ones I've purchased from major eyeglass stores, and the prescription has been spot on. However, if for any reason your glasses arrive damaged or with the wrong prescription, you can contact them for an exchange or full refund and your original pair gets donated to the Lions Club. If you're hesitant about purchasing glasses online, the site also features a handy tool where you can upload your photo to get an idea of the fit and appearance of the glasses on your face. So yes, I've become an online eyeglass convert and with a site like Firmoo, it's hard for me to find a reason to spend hundreds of dollars on a new pair of glasses.

Firmoo is offering my lovely readers with a $30 voucher code for any of the glasses from the Classic Series. Just use code "INVASBLOGS4."  The code expires in two weeks.
