From never having any cats to acquiring 2 in less than 2 years, I'd say I'm on the fast track to becoming a crazy cat lady! If you remember, Baxter was found sleeping on our back porch and was living underneath our deck. This little gal was found underneath someone's house as well. She's extremely adventurous, not afraid of anything, and plays all day until she's pooped...

Good thing she has an older brother to keep her grounded.

Turkey Day

Before
Nom nom nom... After

Stretchy pants.  Big sweater.  Yes, that was my uniform for this grandiose holiday.  It was only appropriate to be prepared for any button-popping disaster and really, it's all about comfort when you're about to stuff your face like nobody's watching.  I supplied the crafts for the evening, and Mama P. showed us once again, that she was queen of the kitchen.  Even Baxter tagged along for his first trip ever and quickly found his special place at the windowsill.  There is so much to be thankful for, and I hope everyone shared a joyous Thanksgiving with family and friends!

Mad Men Mode

// vintage top {similar here} / Zara skinnies {some nice ones here} / Deena & Ozzy lucite sandals / Zara bag / random cat eye sunglasses / Target anchor necklace {cute one here} / OrangeistheSun bracelet //

Hey there! Feeling slightly Betty Draperish in these cat eye glasses and cropped skinnies. I wore this combo to a crawfish picnic which was a perfect way to satiate my yearly mudbug cravings.

And because I haven't posted any pics of Baxter lately, here he is just being his photogenic self.

Meow is the Time

// Leifsdottir leopard cardigan / Ever henley / Target scarf and pants / Alexander Wang bag / Sigerson Morrison boots //

Ok, so the cold really isn't that bad as long as you get to wrap yourself in warm, fuzzy brights that make you smile (or meow). And hello there! Rose gold hardware on a bag?! Lust/love, whatever you call it, the blush-colored metal against the dusty blue textured leather has won me over with its hardcore femininity.

The Long and Short of It

// BB Dakota military coat / Forever 21 tunic top and scarf / Target pants and boots / Liz Claiborne purse / diy fingerless gloves //

I finally made a conscious decision to grow out my hair. Not that short hair hasn't been good to me, but I simply miss the comfort of being able to put my hair up in a bun or ponytail anytime, anywhere. Plus, I've become hair lazy. Maintaining short hair requires way more time and effort than I feel I have the patience for. I do have to credit Missiko though for providing me with all the right tools to be able to actually have good hair days. It's nice to know my trusty Hana flat iron will always be close by for those special nights.

In other news, poor Baxter got fixed this past weekend. He has remained surprisingly calm, but I suspect he knows that something is up.

Oh, and can't forget! My sister is a finalist in Modcloth's "Make the Cut" contest! I'm super proud of her for creating such a beautiful yet wearable retro-inspired dress without a design background. Please take the time out to vote for her or any of the lovely finalists here.

Tossin' and Turnin'

// Isabel Marant silk tunic / vintage diy shorts / Foley + Corinna Mid City Tote / vintage belt / Charlotte Russe cateye glasses / Deena & Ozzy sandals / vintage tri-color necklace / Forever 21 stone necklace //

It was so hard getting up this morning! After a night of trying out this simple recipe (thanks Issa for the inspiration!), throwing back a couple of drinks at the bar while waiting for the chicken to braise, and watching A-Team, I'm surprised I made it up at all. Ah well, I guess having to go to work in the morning is the inevitable evil force that kicks me out of bed sometimes.

In other adorable news, we have recently acquired a new addition to our backyard. We call him Baxter, but we're still not sure if it's a boy or girl. This little kitty stray is too cute for words, but poor thing is still afraid of people. We've giving it food and water every day and bribing it with turkey and tuna, in hopes of one day winning its affection.

Bryan was extremely bored while he was home, so I will leave you with his masterpiece:
