Thrill of the Hunt

// Mint by Goorin hat / dress c/o Langford Market / Club Monaco necklace / vintage bag, boots, cuffs, belt / rings from local shops //

Sometimes I forget how much I love thrifting. Then I actually find the time to go, and it's like falling in love all over again. How do you come out with so many freakin' cool things and still pay so little? It just boggles my mind.

Jess and I have been planning this thrift excursion for the longest time. She really is the best thrift companion and seems to know all the hidden places to go to like this outlet where everything was $1.25. She even shared some of her own thrift secrets, which of course, if I revealed them, I'd have to kill you. So, we'll just move right along...

I've proclaimed Jess the thrift queen. You will almost always find her in head-to-toe vintage except maybe for her shoes. BTW, have you seen those amazing GeeWaWas?!! I couldn't stop gawking! They look heavy but I swear are as light as a feather! I, on the other hand, like to mix it up more- with around a 40/60 ratio of vintage to new. Although I like the sleek and modern aesthetic, I can't seem to stay away from unique vintage accessories and boots. Vintage is great because it's doubtful anyone else will have it and you can probably bet it was or will be some designer's inspiration.

So how do you wear your vintage?

  14. I adore Jess's blog. Her style is completely different than my own but damn she has such a great eye for vintage. I only buy vintage if I see something special but that's the same thing with shopping at any store.
