What I've Been Up to Lately...

1. Soup dumplings

I've now had soup dumplings thrice. Once at Joe's Shanghai in New York, once at Din Tai Fung in Taiwan, and the most recent experience at Fu Fu Cafe in my very own hometown. And the winner is... Joe's Shanghai! Can't wait to return to New York for some more squishy goodness! Seriously, if you live in New York and have never tried these, then you and your tastebuds need to run not walk and get yo' self some of these magical bundles of joy!

2. BarBri

Yes, boys and girls, the exciting world of Bar Review. I had a weekend in between my last final and my first day of BarBri, and all I can say is I can't wait til I get a break where I can actually go to (a) the beach (b) on a roadtrip or (c) the beach. My legs are getting pathetically pastey.

3. Plenty of food porn opportunities.

One of the upsides of going to BarBri is that I'm surrounded by new restaurants within walking distance. Case in point- Straits. Singaporean cuisine in a beautifully clean and modern backdrop. Despite the Texas heat, their outdoor canopies kept us cool throughout our entire meal. Hey, might as well put that 1-hour lunch break to good use!

BTW, I've been getting into pins lately and found some really great ones at my favorite resale shop. This lovely swallow with the ruby eye reminded me of Miu Miu.

Pink hued co-ed bathrooms anyone?

4. That day I've been really looking forward to.

Somehow, I managed to squeeze in graduation. I can finally add another abbreviation to my resume.

The reception afterward was quite impressive. I see where all my tuition went. Macaroons...

and an amazing assortment of dessert treats. Ok, the seafood paella, cheese display, and prime rib were not bad either, but my sweet tooth couldn't help but get 2 plate fulls of mini pastries. What better way to end your very last school experience than in a sugar coma?

Here's another pin I picked up. I thought it was appropriate to don this cutie on my big day. How could anyone say no to that face?
