I see this blog has started becoming rather food-obsessed. I don't blame it, since there's nothing more satisfying than a happy tummy. One reason I would hate to leave Houston is the large selection of restaurants available at my fingertips. Our culinary talent is growing by the day, and I can never keep up with the latest new openings.
Therefore, it's always nice to go to a Houston favorite. Ninfa's is a popular family-owned establishment that's been around for years (since 1973 to be exact). I've been to 3 locations, but hands down, the original Ninfa's takes the cake.
My friend tried out a super fresh soup with shredded chicken, avocado, and pico de gallo.
I, on the other hand, went a more health-risque route with the fried shrimp wrapped in bacon tacos. Best shrimp tacos I've had, so it was well worth it.
