Freja Beha on FP

I've been noticing that Free People has been killing it with top models in their catalogs. I loved it when they had Sasha Pivovarova but now Freja?! Who knew she could rock the girly bohemian vibe like no other. Just further proof that this girl has major versatility (and staying) power.

Now cue the obsessive girl crush post I had swept away under the rug...

The perfect blend of androgyny and femininity.
How quickly she can go from edgy to sweet to very, very 80s still boggles my mind.

Settlement Goods

I recently attended the Settlement Goods boutique and design studio's pre-opening event and found the little oasis that Houston has been missing. The store embraces a concept that seems simple yet hard to find- delivering all American made products in one super stylish space. With brands such as Aesa, Collina Strada, and Samantha Pleet for the gals, and Gitman Bros., Capitol Hill, and Leftfield for the guys, the shop keeps everyone happy. From the outside, the store looks tiny, but once inside, you realize the loft space is the perfect size for an intimate day of hassle-free shopping. The upstairs houses the soon-to-be design studio in a cute mid-century modern palette. The owners, with a background in graphic and interior designing, hope to expand the store's concept beyond just fashion. You can see what all the talk is about when the store officially opens on March 8.

Breakfast

There is no other meal I get more excited about than breakfast. Yes, I even crave it the night before. You would think that with such grand notions, you'd expect something spectacular like eggs, bacon, and possibly even an English muffin. But no, I am filled with the simple joy of a hardy bowl of oatmeal. I always keep the following staples in my home:
Tub of oats and soymilk
Honey, cinnamon, raisins, a variety of nuts

This is what I live on almost every morning, and I'm still not tired of it.

The Art of Layering

// Costa Blanca tweed blazer / vintage sweater / Faryl Robin boots / Mint by Goorin Bros. hat / Desmo bag / A'gaci scarf //

Ever since I admired THAT girl in high school who had the most amazing sense of layering and knew exactly how to put together the perfect chic outfit, I was hooked. Yes, she was a professional model who occasionally graced the school halls when she wasn't traveling to Europe for a photo shoot. Yes, she was rail thin and had that unique angular face that just screamed high fashion. But it was her way of wearing drapey fabrics just so that really left an impression on me.
