I've got that Eurythmics song stuck in my head because we just started receiving some much needed rain here. I've never been a big of it until recently. Just looking at our front lawn, I was afraid that it would catch fire any minute. Plus, I don't mind getting a little break from the heat either. These photos were obviously taken before the dry spell let up.
So this is my version of color blocking. A little bright turquoise here. A pop of bright yellow there. What can I say? I dig bright colors and hey, the hoodie never goes out of style. I bought the sandals for my trip to Thailand but didn't even pull them out of my suitcase. Go figure. They have a small wedge for easy walking, and I love the tiny stud details. Now that summer is officially here, I'm sure I can get some great use out of them in this weather.
The contrasting blue and yellow really stands out. I'm glad that you paired them with black to balance the look out. You're right, with the hoodie up, this look seems very modern and almost adds a tad of a futuristic vibe.
