I know this lookbook is for spring, but it pretty much sums up why I'm looking forward to summer.
Threadsence Spring Lookbook Behind-the-Scenes Video
Plus, I just absolutely love this Florence and the Machine song. Can't get enough of it really. And how about another video to brighten your mood? From Alice & Olivia's new Spring shoe line...
There's a new food truck in town, and it's Vietnamese!

Just some behind-the-scenes snapshots from the Danny Nguyen Couture fashion show. Even though I was out of view of the actual show, I was able to get a taste of his bright Grecian-inspired dresses and suits. That boy is amazing at tailoring and draping, and he can work with just about any material. I also love that he's not afraid of color!
I hadn't eaten dinner all night but lucky for me, there was a Vietnamese food truck to my rescue. All my favorites were there, including egg roll lettuce wraps, pho, and banh mi (Vietnamese sandwich). I heard they make a great spam sushi roll but to my dismay, they didn't have the ingredients with them that day. My quest to catch all the food trucks in town has proven to be no small feat. They're popping up fast than I thought. I think I'll have to pace myself though just to keep from having to buy new britches.
Don't know if any of you are a cult follower of James Hong from Bladerunner, Big Trouble in Little China and 353 other films and shows, but Mr. Hong was the guest of the night. A very spry 82, he still knows how to entertain a crowd!
The furniture, the people, the emotions, and that car. These photographs by Ben Sandler are stunning and encompass what I hoped the future would be like and more.
Plus, don't those lamps in the next to the last picture look like Bender's head from Futurama? Yep, I thought so.

I was pretty amazed to find these boots at Target. I typically buy my basics and practical accessories there but never had much luck in the footwear department. I had been looking for a pair of brown cowboy/moto boots for awhile now and wanted something similar to those Frye harness boots but with an almond toe. A friend tipped me off to Target where she got her pair. When I got to Target, there was only one pair left in one size too small. What are the chances that these boots were made large? Well apparently the stars were aligned that day because they fit my feet like a glove and I took the last pair of these babies home. Did I mention they're real leather? Shocking huh? I had no idea Target sold leather shoes. Shows how much I know. I think they've ramped up their shoe department since the last time I checked.
The photos of the delicious BBQ were taken at my favorite barbeque spot in Houston, Goode Company. I love their brisket and sausage and gosh darn, if you're not full after all that meat, you better get yourself some of their amazing pecan pie as well. Eating barbeque in nice weather makes me downright happy. Bryan and I couldn't stop smiling at each other while we indulged in our food.
The other day I came home to find that my Free People catalog had been vandalized:
(I actually thought that crocheted horse cape was quite nice)
(do I sense some sarcasm here?)
Now, I know Bryan likes looking through my catalogs, especially the ones I get from Free People, but this time, he took it a step beyond. Hmm... this may turn out to be something to look forward to.
I guess it's nice to get the boy's take on fashion sometimes even though Man Repeller often comes to mind. Either way, that boy seriously cracks me up.
For example, he took a snapshot of this for me the other day:
It's a new bar opening up here. I'll be sure to report back to you on the crowd that ends up showing up at this place. I wonder if they'll have an Ed Hardy fashion police.
